This workshop will delve into a number of great structures (e.g. jigsaws, Pairs Compare, See Think Wonder) that can be used in a variety of ways across discipline areas and topics to grant ELs access to content. We will look at when to use and when not to use these structures, how to adapt them from their original format to provide the necessary language support, and discuss why and how they are useful in a heterogeneous classroom in a variety of disciplines.
